Fleece Headband

DIRECTIONS

1. Draw rectangle on a piece of tissue paper, 11.5cm wide, with length of rectangle equal to 1/2 of measurement around head minus 6mm. 
2. Label one end as the fold line.
3. Draw dotted lines 2.5cm from each short end; on these lines mark points 2cm from long edges.
4. Draw dotted line through center.
5. On each long side, mark lines starting at the marked points and tapering to side of rectangle at centre. 
6. Draw solid lines straight from marked points to short ends. 
7. Cut the pattern for headband on solid lines.
8. Fold fleece lengthwise; using pattern, cut fleece with foldline of pattern on fold of fabric.
9. Stitch narrow ends of fabric strip together in 6mm seam. 
10. Fold 1cm to wrong side on long edges; stitch to close raw edges.
